Seita and Setsuko's brothers and sisters lost their mother and burned their house in the turmoil of the air raid. The brother and sister who got lost on the street are forced to move to the aunt's house, but as life becomes difficult, Seita decides to leave the house as the conflict with the aunt ceases.
